Solidarity on Stage: The Independent Order of Odd Fellows raises over $10,000 during the Telemundo 51 telethon benefiting the Liga Contra el Cáncer.

On a day marked by hope and community support, Telemundo 51’s traditional annual telethon—held to benefit the Liga Contra el Cáncer—once again demonstrated the power of civic unity in South Florida. The televised event, which mobilizes thousands of people year after year to fund treatments for patients with limited resources, saw significant participation from local philanthropic organizations.

One of the most moving moments of the broadcast was the presentation by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). Members of this historic fraternal organization took the event’s main stage to officially present a generous donation of $10,240.00.

This significant contribution is the result of intensive fundraising campaigns and the Odd Fellows’ steadfast commitment to the community’s social causes. The funds raised will go entirely toward the medical care programs—including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and free medication—that the Liga Contra el Cáncer (League Against Cancer) provides without interruption to those who need them most.

Representatives of the League Against Cancer and Telemundo 51 executives expressed their deep gratitude to the Order for upholding its philosophy of fraternity, aid, and service to others, thereby solidifying an alliance that sows life and optimism among hundreds of families affected by this disease.
